On Children and Pets

The older child was a hellbeast all weekend. Hyper and whiny and refusing to do her schoolwork.

The little child was sick all weekend. Nose running like a faucet and screaming when we laid him down.

Now of course, I'm sick. Nose running like a faucet, head like a heater, feel like death served cold. If my weekly deadlines hadn't been pushed back a day due to the holiday, I would be home in bed today.

Why didn't I stick to a cat? I never got sick from my cat.

There's still schoolwork?

My 5-year-old has been a pain the last few days as well. I'm hoping that there was a full moon or something and it will stop soon. Today was MARGINALLY better.

fiona - we homeschool, so there's always schoolwork. And she did nothing during the week, so she had to do some over the weekend.

I hope there was a full moon, too. That would make me feel a LOT better.

If it makes you feel better, one of our cats puked on the other cat this morning. And then both of them ate it. The end.

Overthinker - hi and welcome! Valid point. In the immortal words of Goldmember, "That's just gross."
